PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL ELIGIBLE PERSONS REGARDLESS OF RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, AGE, POLITICAL BELIEFS OR DISABILITY.

Confidentiality
All information you provide is confidential.  Information will only be given to person directly connected with administering or enforcing provisions of the programs for which you applied, other federal assistance programs, or programs that assist low income individuals.  Information may also be disclosed to:
bulletLaw enforcement officials for the purpose of investigating program violations.
bulletThe Child Support Enforcement Program to help locate absent parents.
bulletPersons connected with verifying status of immigrants.
bulletEmployees of the Comptroller General's Office of the United States for audit examination authorized by law.
bulletFor Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Food Stamp applicants, your address may be given to law enforcement officials if you are a fugitive felon.
bulletFor TANF recipients, information may be given to agencies that provide employment-related services.

You, or a responsible member of your household, or a person acting in your household's behalf, shall be allowed to review material and information contained in your case record during the agency's normal business hours.  The agency may withhold certain confidential information, however, such as the names of individuals who have given information about your household without the household's knowledge, confidential medical information, or information about the nature or status of pending criminal prosecutions.

Appeal Rights
If you disagree with any decision or action, you have the right to appeal.  Details on how to appeal are in the APPEALS section of this booklet.
